The dilemma that I'm faced with quite often. Or shall I say the one problem I'm trying to solve is how I can manage my time and energy? Every year I create these goals and I have these grand ideas that I would like to pursue, but there never seems to be enough time or energy. Notice how I keep throwing energy behind time... Let me give you a timeline of a typical day, then you'll see, that sometimes I do have time, but the energy is just not there. Here is a typical day for me
By the time my day ends, I'm exhausted. And if I do have a moment, it's typically on a day that's a rest day from my workout or my weekends. This year I'm going to level up my time management skills. I'm learning that I can no longer have goals without having the actions and activities scheduled on my calendar. I'll keep you posted on how it's working out for me. I guess he was making his media runs, but I eventually wound up reading/listening to the book Million Dollar Weekend by Noah Kagan. Two things I took from the book were the act of treating business and business ideas like experiments. That resonates with me because I generally think business is a game. It's just like sports. Some people are simply better than others, but the truth is with the right amount of practice we can all improve. The next thing that stuck with me is The Law of 100. It's Noah's concept of whatever you are starting, blogging, podcasting, YouTube. You do that thing 100 times before you decide if it is working or not. Anyway, this is a very practical book with pretty good examples of everyday folks starting businesses. Put this on your book or audio reading list. Million Dollar Weekend | Noah Kagan When the Rubber Meets the Road, ...So here's our construction project that we just finished up. It's a roadway project in Wilson, NC at Barton College. We improved the storm drainage, reduced the roadway from 4 lanes to 2 lanes and added a pedestrian lane from the athletic facility to the football stadium.
